Eyeshadow Application Tips

No matter how great we think we are at doing something, it’s always good to take a refresher course. Enter, eyeshadow application!

My first step is to apply Tarte Clean Slate 360 Creaseless 12-Hr Smoothing Primer.
Usually I would just go in with my eyeshadow, but I just learned a very important step which is to set the primer with any powder or shadow that is the same color as your skin tone.
For this look I am using the BECCA Volcano Goddess Eyeshadow Palette.
I used the first shade Cloud to set my primer.
Next, I use Granite in the crease as my transition shade. I still love the good old windshield wiper technique, but now instead of looking straight across, I take my mirror down and look down as I do this. By doing so, you have a larger crease area to work with.
Once that is all blended, I like to go in with Volcanic Sand on my lid.
I also like to define the undereye with my transition shade. What I do now is move my mirror up and go in with my brush underneath, making sure to stay very close to the lash line and blending it out. Next, I like to get my ring finger and dab a little bit of Haze right in the center for a pop of color.
