Explore Serene Intensity with Bleu de CHANEL Parfum

It’s a story of a fragrance that first saw the light as BLEU DE CHANEL Eau de Toilette, composed in 2010 by Jacques Polge, and then evolved into BLEU DE CHANEL Eau de Parfum 2014, and finally entered the mystical world of “Parfums”.

The new fragrance is the brainchild of Perfumer-creator Olivier Polge, in cooperation with the CHANEL Laboratory of Fragrance Creation and Development and unleashes a serene intensity that fills the space of the wearer in the most refined kind of ways. Think of it as a fragrance that is ultimately there without any fuss, a fragrance that embodies those who do not conform to stereotypes, but most of all, a fragrance that highlights buoyancy.

What first started out as a representation of a pine-forest infused olfactory experience (BLEU DE CHANEL Eau de Toilette), then became an upgraded depiction of cedar, infused with ambery and musky notes (BLEU DE CHANEL Eau de Parfum). And now, BLEU DE CHANEL Parfum creates the perfect balance between wood and citrus, summoning fresh sensation of lavender and geranium. Cedar notes and sandalwood from New Caledonia – protected in part by CHANEL – are all at the heart of the fragrance, merging strength and softness into one lavish scent.

“The difficulty was trying to set the right tone to convey what a ‘parfum for men’ could be. We had to avoid simply repeating what had already been done. Intensity and refinement can be expressed without throwing an olfactory punch. That is why I wanted to give more space to the sandalwood, to let it fuse with the cedar and fresh top notes,” said Olivier Polge CHANEL's in House Perfumer Creator.
