Emilio Pucci Fall/Winter 2018-2019 Ready-to-Wear

The core of Emilio Pucci is psychedelic prints drenched in bold and bright colors. And bold it was! Massimo Giorgetti revisited the House’s identity and channeled it through a far more contemporary approach, one that would surely attract millenials.

His secret? Using colors to his advantage. That meant mixing bold colors together in one single piece to create an eye-grabbing effect.

Indeed, one pink coat had blue pockets and collar,  while one black boxy jacket had mint green linings. Pleated midi skirts had the famous Emilio Pucci pattern splattered all around them and silk dresses were playfully matched with colored tights.

There were a lot anoraks and puffy jackets, all of which were reveling in the joys of the House’s iconic prints. But there were also a lot of belted ensembles and garments that had the matelassé texture sprinkled all around them.

Could it have been an optimistic message that was being spread? Or was it just a revisit of the House’s heritage? Either way, it screamed positivity.
