Elie Saab Fall/Winter 2018-2019 Ready-to-Wear

Whilst Elie Saab may be the master of opulent red-carpet gowns, for Fall 2018 the fanciful romance of this aesthetic translated perfectly into a collection of day-to-night worthy pieces with a 70s feel. Drawing inspiration for pattern and print from wintry bouquets, the show was billed as “capturing every last bloom and dark romance.” A bohemian maxi dress in a red black floral print and thigh-flashing slits was styled, with knee high black boots. A rose embroidered fringed shawl accessorized a perfect pussybow day dress. There was a nod to ladylike chic with a sky-blue fur bolero styled over a fit-and-flare dress and a pink fox shawl draped over a dusky rose lace dress. For evening, a seductive collection of black sequined looks closed the show, from the black tuxedo trouser suit to the embellished mesh dresses styled over little black shorts.
