Dolce & Gabbana Fall/Winter 2018-2019 Ready-to-Wear

The sign atop the venue said “Fashion Devotion”. Devotion to Dolce & Gabbana? Or a devotion to the industry in general? Either way, one could only anticipate- or at least expect - a show to remember.

It was your run-of-the mill Dolce & Gabbana show, but instead of models, the show kicked off with several drones carrying handbags. Fa-bu-lous! And one after the other, models strutted their insanely gorgeous outfits down the runway. There was a renaissance kind of inspiration behind the collections, as models donned oversized denim jackets with angel wings at times, and frivolous ruffle-y gowns at other times. Some sported bejeweled dresses while others wore sultry tuxedos. Along came the animal inspired outfits, as one model carried a stuffed animal, while another wore a zebra-inspired costume.

Surely enough, colored tights were a thing and they were lavishly paired with contrasting pieces.

It was truly a treat for sore eyes and the collection itself was worthy of the duo’s theatrical touch. One thing we’ll definitely keep in mind is that animal prints are back with a big fashionable bang!
