Discover the Unique Gucci Zumi Handbag

Meet Gucci Zumi, the Italian House’s latest handbag creation, first introduced in the hands of Los Angeles-based actress and experimental musician Zumi Rosow during the Spring-Summer 2019 fashion show in Paris. The structured and refined handbag has actually more to say than meets the eye; combining two of the most historical House motifs – the Interlocking G and Horsebit hardware – the accessory features a replicated hardware from a rare piece in the Gucci archives, which has been chosen by Alessandro Michele for its contemporary appeal.

But why Zumi, you ask? Simply because Zumi Rosow, in more ways than others, embodies Alessandro Michele’s vision of beauty. Pegged as a free-spirited and unconventional being, Zumi possesses a unique personal aesthetic – much like Gucci’s codes and values.

The top-handle version of the Gucci Zumi has distinctive double-lift lock closures at the top, and is available in two types of leather – smooth and grainy – and in precious skins such as python and elaphe, ostrich and crocodile. The best thing about it all is that the bags have a detachable and adjustable leather shoulder strap and a practical interior composed of a zipped compartment and a zipped pocket.

Another available version of the bag is the Gucci Zumi shoulder bag, available in two sizes: small and mini, where both sizes of this model are made only in smooth leather and feature a detachable shoulder chain with Marina chain details, and an adjustable leather top-handle and a rear pocket. But if you’re a big fan of clutches, the bag can also easily turn into one by detaching the strap. On the other hand, the Gucci Zumi tote unveiled on the SS19 runways and inspired by a Gucci vintage bag from the 60s, comes exclusively in crocodile and lizard skins.

To top it all off, versions of the medium top-handle and the mini shoulder bag also come in a fun, pop Gucci Strawberry print. Need we say more?
