Dior Gets Surreal with Makeup at Spring 2018 Couture Show

As Creative and Image Director for Dior Makeup, Peter Philips has never failed to echo the spirit of every collection presented by the French house through a stunning makeup look – and this time was no exception. For Dior’s Spring-Summer 2018 Haute Couture show, he embodied Maria Grazia Chiuri’s surrealist inspiration in a strong look that will definitely appeal to your bold side.

The eyes constitute the main focus of this makeup. Using the new Diorshow on Stage Liner in Matte Black, he drew long and precise eyelashes on the upper and lower eyelids, stretching excessively towards the temples for an exaggerated effect. To open the eyes, he applied Diorshow Khôl in Beige to the lower waterline and at the lash line. Finally, he subtly defined the eyebrows using Sourcils Poudre pencil and Diorshow Bold Brow.

The complexion was looking natural and luminous with a touch of Diorskin Forever & Ever Wear Primer followed by Diorskin Forever Undercover Foundation, a few drops of Diorskin Forever Undercover Concealer and a very light veil of Diorskin Forever & Ever Control Loose Powder.

Lips looked natural, prepped using Lip Maximizer and given a light hint of color with Lip Glow in Pink or Matte Pink, while equally natural nails were achieved using Base Coat in Abricot, Dior Vernis in Muguet and Gel Coat in Abricot. As for the hair, Guido Palau styled it into a classic ponytail with a side-part that clearly revealed the faces.
