For Dior’s Cruise 2019 fashion show, Peter Philips sent the models out on the catwalk wearing strong, chic and timeless makeup perfectly in line with Maria-Grazia Chiuri’s collection. And since the creative and image director for Dior Makeup revealed the new “Dior Backstage Line”, which finds inspiration in makeup artists’ must-haves, learning how to get the look becomes a must!
The skin was made up with the Face and Body Foundation, the Dior Backstage Contour Palette, the Dior Backstage Glow Face Palette in No001 Universal and a touch of Diorskin Undercover Concealer. For the eyes, Philips used Dior Backstage Eye Palette in No001 Warm Neutrals, while he defined the brows with Dior Backstage Brow Palette using the lighter shade on the whole brow followed by touches of the darker shade. Lips were kept very natural, as they were first smoothed with Dior Addict Lip Sugar Scrub then subtly heightened with a gloss from the Dior Backstage Lip Palette in Pink.
While nails were kept natural as well, hair – which was styled by Guido Palau – was worn in a very long ponytail tied low at the nape with a neat center parting.
