Cartier perfumer Mathilde Laurent made sure to create a contrast between the fragrance and the bottle to heighten the scent’s elegance and intensity.

This striking eau de toilette became a signature scent, combining cool cardamom – which made its debut at Cartier perfumery – with woody notes, cedar, fig and waxed wood. With this mix, it was only natural to create a scent filled with masculinity and boldness.

Today, this scent becomes the origin of a new fragrance. Reworked in a fresh, modern and intense way, the new Déclaration keeps the strong cedar element from the eau de toilette and enhances the woody facets with sensual oriental notes.
