Chloé Fall/Winter 2018-2019 Ready-to-Wear

After Natacha Ramsay-Levi’s solo debut at Paris Fashion Week for Chloé’s Spring 2018 collection, the House had welcomed a new motto: street style is chic. And so, for the House’s Fall/Winter 2018-2019 collection, the designer presented just that.

But it wasn’t any kind of street style chic, it was a seventies kind of elegance, shining with pointed collars, earthy colors and delicate lace.

The collection was filled with deconstructed midi skirts in natural colors and minimal knits with bouffant sleeves. There was a nod to the House’s legacy that lied in the “Chloe” encrypted tights, but also in the delicate satin blouses and maxi leather coats. Lace inserts were obviously a thing, taking over dresses and jumpsuits in the most subtle kind of ways. White feathers were depicted hanging from skirts and blouses, while shimmery knits made for a lavish evening selection. It was obvious that the designer wanted to establish a sensual feel to the collection, most commonly apparent through cut-out bodices and bare shoulders. Could Natacha Ramsay-Levi be bringing a new mood to Chloé?
