Céline Spring-Summer 2018 Collection

She’s avant-gardist, experimental and genuinely audacious. Indeed, Phoebe Philo has never failed to deliver comfort and confidence to her audience, and her work for Céline’s Spring-Summer 2018 collection showed nothing less than that.

There was something pretty special about this collection, as models strutted down the runway dressed in some sort of a double-entendre, where pieces of clothing seemed to melt into one another. Blouses transformed into coats, jackets melted into jumpsuits and blazers yielded dresses. The shapes looked elegant and very Céline, but also very fresh. Colors skewed from creamy hues to more pasty tones, displaying a sense of sophistication.

It was all very carefree but with twists and turns of elegance. There were halter dresses ending in a sea of fringes, silk maxi dresses featuring sensual inserts of lace and leather coats that highlighted the models’ waists ever-so gracefully. Céline’s care-free touch was enhanced this time-around with a statement attitude, as even dresses seemed to display bold stripes and confident movements.
