Carolina Herrera Spring-Summer 2018 Collection

There’s nothing quite like Carolina Herrera’s blissful touch to get us through the hardship of September. And in her little dictionary, blissful is synonymous with puffy shoulders, tiny waists and exaggerated volumes. But would you expect less fabulousness from the queen of elegance herself?

This time around, Herrera’s white blouse was transformed into a puffy-shouldered blouse paired with a midi gingham skirt, while dresses were accentuated with a ribbon-like bow, tied gently at the waist. Polychromatic horizontal stripes were a thing, instilling the collection with a joyful vibe. Denim garments made quite the statement, shining through high-wasted trousers, dresses and skirts – think daytime chic attire fitted for the posh. The dresses screamed “vintage elegance”, soon progressing into a more glamorized evening version of the debuting ones. Picture form-fitting sequined dresses with bulging shoulders, tulle ballerina dresses and ultimately, a one-shouldered voile gown that showcased nothing less than a true Herrera sophistication.

The best thing about the collection, though? Its ability to suit, well, anyone.
