Books We Love – Alaïa: Livre de Collection

Being friends with Azzedine Alaïa for over 35 years, Prosper Assouline thought that the best way to pay tribute to this long-term friendship is by republishing Assouline’s 1992 “Collector’s Book” on Alaïa’s Summer 1992 show – and we must say that it’s quite a treat for us!

Known for doing things differently, it came as no surprise for this designer to be the first to produce such a fashion show, the story of which – from start to finish – is counted in this book. The latter includes everyone who participated in the fashion show, as well as all of the objects that were required and every item of décor and inspiration that helped form the designer’s work.

Such a show is called “Collection” in French, which explains the title of the book and immerses us in this intensely creative universe. So, are you a fashion lover? If yes, than you should definitely get your hands on a copy for your collection.
