Beauty Tip of the Week – 50 shades of Nude and more...literally!

Nude is defined as "naked and unclothed,” and nude makeup is a timeless and classic look in the world of beauty, and a personal favorite of mine. This season, we are seeing plenty of it for every feature, from the face, the eyes, to the lips!

Previously, pulling off a nude look was challenging because most brands offered a limited amount of shades. Now, we have plenty of earth tones to choose from and here is our breakdown:

Lips: Lips are the main feature that go with the nude look well. I was so happy to see that MAC Cosmetics will be launching a whole new range of nude colors in collaboration with Nicki Minaj, in addition to the 50+ shades of nude they already have. Also, brands like Bobbi Brown, Chanel, and Dior have some stunning nudes in both lipstick and lip-gloss formulas.

Face: With the face, you can go as minimal as you like, and if you feel more comfortable with extra coverage, there are plenty of foundations to choose from, both with a glow or matte. I’m loving Laura Mercier for a natural and flawless nude finish. Also, Glam Glow have a spectacular moisturizer that works to moisturize and leave a glowing finish, and it comes in three shades. Nude is in fact the name of their medium toned moisturizer and works well on most skin tones. Don't forget to choose a natural blush in a soft peach, pink, or light brown to keep the look minimal.

Eyes: Keep the eye makeup simple and matte. A tip for mascara is to opt for brown as this is softer than black and gives a more natural nude finish. Benefit Cosmetics are my go to brand for nude mascaras, they have plenty! Don't forget to groom those brows too!
