Beauty Smoothie

I know what you’re thinking, is drinking this going to make me beautiful? I happen to love healthy smoothies, but honestly have not had the time to make them. I have been spending all my time cooking for my toddler, but I recently discovered that smoothies are a fun way for them to get their greens in. So I thought why not take this as an opportunity to get back in the smoothie game for me since, let’s face it, I’m the one always finishing up her mac and cheese. My skin has had a mind of its own lately and as much as I preach drinking water, I never stick to it; so I thought maybe I can drink a smoothie that will help instead or in addition to water, since water is of course the best for your skin. Let me preface by saying that anything that’s good for you like fruits and vegetables is also good for your skin. The cleaner your diet the better your skin is going to look. And now for that recipe… 

1/2 cup plain coconut water

1 frozen ripe banana

1 cup chopped pineapple

1 cup chopped mango

1 cup spinach or kale

1/2 avocado, sliced.

1 Tablespoon ground flax or flaxseed oil
