About a year ago, I discovered the Chantecaille brand and fell in love with it. If you were like me and new to this brand, you will be blown away by the quality of their products.

From skincare to makeup, each product in the line is not only made of natural ingredients but gives amazing results and coverage. Let me start off by saying that if you don't like the smell of rosewater, although it is subtle, this line may not be right for you. Besides the foundation and skin care that I loved, I was given a sample of their mascara. Since I was going on a trip, I decided this mascara would be perfect for my weekend getaway because it was small and brand new. I also thought that it would simply be ordinary mascara with decent results but to my surprise, it surpassed my expectations.

At first, I noticed the scent of rosewater and thought what a nice change to have a mascara that may actually be good for my lashes. My lashes looked voluminous and long but no clumping occurred. I hate to admit it but I did fall asleep with this on, but to my surprise my lashes looked just as great the next day.

You know when you use mascara and then wake up the next day with your lashes all stuck to each other or moved into one direction? We've all been there! So the next day I used the mascara again, but only about two coats for day. This mascara is definitely buildable. I do have to point out that if you are one that is obsessed with very thick dramatic mascara this may not be right for you since it is a bit of a softer look. For this reason, I also feel like this is the best summer mascara. You don't want to show up to the beach or pool with tons of heavy mascara and this one will make you look like you rolled out of bed with perfect lashes.

After a day of sightseeing, I returned to my hotel room and had to quickly freshen up. Instead of doing my eyes all over again, I just added a few extra coats of mascara and to my surprise it still didn't get clumpy. By the third night of the trip, I cleaned my mascara off and noticed something strange. Even without mascara my lashes looked dark and thick. With most other mascaras, my lashes fall out while removing them but this mascara seems like it actually improved the overall look of my lashes. As soon as I got back from my trip I headed over to Bloomingdales for my Chantecaille fix!

Chantecaille Faux Cils contains rose water, natural waxes, vegetal polymers and red seaweed to define and enhance your lashes. As if this wasn't enough, the bristles are just as amazing. The sharp edged bristles provide natural curl and bounce to lashes, giving them an extra plump.

I do admit that sometimes I switch back to my other mascaras, but for every day this is really one of my favorites. It just feels like I am conditioning my lashes while I wear it.
