Beauty Habits to leave in 2017

Let’s talk about some terrible habits you may or may not have acquired over the years, and let’s discuss why we’re going to get rid of them.

The first thing I can think of is a habit I am so guilty of. For a while I was so diligent about skincare, but lately I’ve gone back to my old ways of sleeping with makeup on. This is a major no-no. Waking up to clean moisturized skin is kind of like making your bed in the morning. You start your day off in the right direction. Try cleansing before you crawl into bed and start checking your social media because we all know that can take about an hour and then you will just fall asleep!

This next habit was one that I kicked a while ago, but it started creeping back up on me since my skin has been acting up. Playing with your face, AKA popping pimples. I don’t care how clean your hands are or if you just got out of a hot shower, leave the extracting to an esthetician.

Smoking isn’t a beauty habit but was worth mentioning since the effects are so terrible. Speaking of wrinkles around your mouth area, did you know that drinking out of a straw is also a bad habit? I am so shocked at this but it makes total sense. For a person who sticks a straw even into her Lattes, I’m pretty bummed about this one.

Damaging your hair: I have naturally dark curly hair, but currently, I have brown straight hair with highlights, which means my hair is super damaged. If you plan on changing the texture of your hair, try to stick to a more natural hair color or vice versa.
