Balenciaga Spring-Summer 2018 Collection

For Spring-Summer 2018, creative director DemnaGvasaliaused fashion as a canvas of landscapes and the result was quite the stunner. He sent out models in tartan bottoms – think skirts and trousers – paired with striped blouses.

The looks were very androgynous, but in the most chic kind of ways. Military tees were mixed with trousers that served as a patchwork of stripes and tartan patterns, while other numbers unveiled beautiful sceneries and landscapes. Who knew sunsets could be so fashion-forward? There were pops of color filling up the collection, from greens to yellows – amongst others – and the prints seemed to be mixing oh-so well with each other. One blouse in particular served as a canvas for a newspaper page, as a cardigan gently rested atop of it. There were vinyl blouses, overbearing coats and boots that doubled as socks. There were gilets with their own set of sleeves hanging on the front and tops with the brand’s newest “Balenciaga” logo. But most of all, there were clothes that served up style as well as power.
