Baby Hair Control

I finally figured out why they call it baby hair, because it’s the hair you get after you have a baby! Jokes aside, during my pregnancy my hair was thick and beautiful then it started to fall out, and finally it started to grow back. During this growing back stage, I have these super short baby hairs all over my hairline. When my hair is down they stick out, and when it’s pulled back in a ponytail they are all over the place. It has come to the point where it just looks embarrassing, and something needs to be done. Here are a few options I found to tame these babies, literally. I borrowed my husband’s Bumble and Bumble Sumotech which is like a creamy wax. His hair is always perfect, so I thought why not give it a shot. Make sure to use very little and work it in with your fingers preferably when your hair is a little damp. If he’s not being a good husband, borrow his toothbrush to help comb down those baby hairs. This toothbrush trick also works with hairspray. Most hairsprays and waxes leave too much build up, so in that case you can also use good old gel. I haven’t used gel in my hair since High School, but I want to check out a L’Oreal gel to really make my hair sleek. When my hair is down I use either an oil or lotion, basically the teeny tiny amount leftover on my hands after applying to the ends of my hair or just my skin, will do the trick.
