Azzi & Osta Celebrates the Disco Age

The glamor that highlights power duo Azzi & Osta’s work gives the Fall/Winter 2019-2020 collection a beautifully exaggerating note. With a collection that mirrored the Seventies – think long faux fur coats and a psychedelic color palette – the designers saw the era of Studio 54 and raised it with femininity, freedom, and individuality.

So get this; using the disco age’s unique sense of glamor and liberation for fashion expressions, Azzi & Osta used their moniker fabric manipulation and structure volumes  to reminisce upon the Super scene. And so, the collection was full of swirly ruffles and peplums, inspired by dance moves, alongside a galore of electric fabrics such as wire Lurex, sparkle jacquard, leopard print, disco faux fur, confetti embroidery, multicolored abstract leopard embroidery, tulle, Volante, crepe and double satin.

“It was a thrilling journey in time through photos, articles and music, to the golden age of Studio 54, this fortress of glam at a time where social media and cell phones didn’t even exist, at an era when life was simple and carefree” commented duo designers AZZI & OSTA.

The designers’ statement looks never looked better, what with the parade of exaggerated capes, sexy high-slits, dancing skirts, flared jumpsuits and oversized sleeves painting the beautiful canvas of “Rewind to 00:54”.
