Big western hats, black as a founding color and a whole lot of gold; these were a few of Alberta Ferretti’s favorite things.
The Italian designer sent out models- think Kaia Gerber and the Hadid sisters - donning big bold hats and western-inspired blouses paired with plisse boots. But that wasn’t the most striking side of the collection, as there were a slew of knits with structured shoulders, cinched waists and carrot pants. The pieces were symbolic to a woman’s power and emancipation, but in an all-too feminine and sophisticated way - a la Alberta Ferretti. There were coats that doubled as capes, leather midi skirts, sequined A-line dresses and overflowing sheer voile dresses. Brocade embroidered ensembles were clearly a thing and an earthy-toned color palette balanced out the outcome very well.
For evening wear, Ferretti chose a metallic color palette that she gently splattered across maxi gowns, jumpsuits and cardigans.
