A Sneak Peek into Dior’s Exhibition at the Victoria and Albert Museum in London

It’s at the heart of the Victoria and Albert Museum that the inauguration of the exhibition “Christian Dior: Designer of Dreams” took place, welcoming the world’s biggest personalities, from Felicity Jones to Kristin Scott Thomas, Gemma Arterton and Eddie Redmayne – amongst others. Indeed, these influential personalities from the worlds of art, cinema and fashion reveled in an intimate dinner and an exceptional opportunity to exclusively preview the exhibition – pegged as a tribute to one of the most important couturier of the 20th century, along with his six successors.

Last year’s “Couturier du Reve” exhibition revisited the history of the House from 1947 till today, revealing along its way Dior’s iconic creations, from over 300 dresses to fashion photographs, sketches perfumes, paintings and other legendary documents. This year, the exhibition expands its lingo with even more gems, shedding light on the work of Christian Dior and his successors – Yves Saint Laurent, Marc Bohan, Gianfranco Ferré, John Galliano, Raf Simmons and Maria Grazia Chiuri.

And so, the exhibition is pegged as a phenomenal celebration of the founding couturier’s avant-garde spirit, coupled with the international ambition of his House, and the fabulous work his successors have done and continue to do so until this very day.

So if you’re an avid fashion enthusiast, the exhibition will be open to the public on February 2nd, 2019.
